This is a perfect studio flat with light flooding in from the sash window overlooking pretty gardens. If you are looking for a peaceful stay in a terrific location this is the place. More like an executive bedroom suite with a compact kitchen and good bathroom there is also a lift and porter. A peaceful quiet road yet within striking distance of Sloane Square.
York House is flanked by Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Belgravia and the River Thames. Pimlico is within walking distance too, try the famous French restaurant Poule au Pot, with outside dining, a big favourite of pleasure-seeking foodies. This same part of Pimlico road is a must-visit for anyone interested in tasteful and unusual artwork, designs and furniture.
Amble down the Kings Road to the pedestrianised area known as Duke of Yorks. A plethora of high fashion shops line the precinct, visit the spectacular Saatchi Gallery and take advantage of the open air food market on Saturday mornings. Sloane Street leads to Knightsbridge and is internationally recognised as one of the world's most luxurious shopping destinations. The choice of international restaurants is exhaustive, for a special treat try San Lorenzo in Beauchamp Place (no credit cards).
There is so much going on in the immediate vicinity but bear a thought for a trip to Camden Market and its curious cobbled pathways lined with fashion, art, memorabilia and food. A great day out.
